You guys are familiar with medals I'm sure of it, but if you're new or you view the site with your eyes closed here's a description www.mywii.com.au/

What we are doing here is allowing members to create a medal of their own choosing and set it up just like an admin would. You'll also have your very own banner in the medals champs section showing off your work.

Here's how it will work, at the beginning of the month we'll start accepting your medal submissions, and the best submission will be run at the end of the month for every body to try and earn one just as if it were a medal run by an admin.
Don't think this is like some medal suggestion thread, it's more than that it's basically another way to contribute to the site similar to submitting news, reviews etc. You will be competing against everyone else you you'll have to put in the extra effort to make your medal stand out.

Here's the template you have to follow in order for your submission to be accepted. Everything written in bold will be your heading/sub headings and everything in italics will be instructions on what to put under each sub heading. Once you have set up your medal submission please post it in this thread here.

Main Heading
Give your medal a name. eg: "Mario Cube Medal"

After the main heading add a image of the medal. Make sure that your medal design is clear and is 50x50px in size(depending on design a slightly wider medal might be acceptable). Have no watermarks in your medal and make sure people can see what it is.

Quantity:
How many medals do you want to give out? "eg: Quantity: 40 Medals will be available." It's your call on how many medals you want to be available, 35 - 50 is an average number you can work with. Bare in mind the more medals available the easier it will seem to get so we suggest you don't have a 100 medals available.

Description/Introduction
Explain to the members what the medal is all about, hype it up and make it sound interesting. eg: "With the up and coming crop of new Mario games coming to the Wii I thought it would be fitting to have a Mario themed medal to suit."

There you have it! that should be enough info to keep you out of trouble but if you have any questions please feel free ask me or any of the site admins, and we'll help you out the best we can. You don't have to follow that template to the letter but try your best.

Here's a quick check list to help you out.
• Think of a medal idea.
• Make your medal image to correct specs.
• Use the above template to do your write up. We suggest you do this part in a word processing program so you can check for errors.
• Post your submission in this thread.
• Then wait for the admins to select a winner.

Rules and FAQs:
• If you follow the template you should be fine. Just ensure your medal submission follows all site rules and you have not copied another persons work.
• Yes you can use an animated medal but just like a still image medal it have to be the right size of 50x50px.
• You can submit more than one medal in one month but remember it's quality not quantity that counts.
• You can resubmit a medal idea that you used in the Medal Comp that was run some time ago.
• Yes you can reuse your submissions from the September DIY Medal thread.
Note: This section will be edited as questions come in.

I know I mentioned that there was a possibility that 2 medals would have been chosen but last month was already packed with a good amount of medals (boo and midnight medals) This month the schedule is a little more open so we can run more medals submitted by members.

How to get one

This boo is the king of all boos you can get this king by having all possible boos or catching him when his royale thread is open wich will only stay open for 30 minutes cause we all know he is a king he cant hang around for too long

Mr. Wii For A Day Medal

Description/Introduction:
Recently a thread was made asking what you would do if you could be an Admin for a day, there were a lot of interesting/funny responses and it reminded me of this medal that I proposed last year so I decided to re-work it a little.

How to get:
In order to get this Medal all you have to do is in a minimum of 30 words, tell us what you would do if you could have one day as Mr. Wii. Don’t forget that Mr. Wii is the boss of all the admins on all the My Media sites.

RULES:
• Keep everything family friendly, nothing inappropriate.
• Don’t copy anyone elses ideas.
• Have Fun!!!!!!!!

Ratatosk's Core Medal

Introduction/Decription
To celebrate the Australian release for the "Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk" this medal would be given to obtain the power of Ratatosk so you can go rule the world instead of ruling the cyber world.

How to get it
The thread will appear for only 2 hours it will be runned for a week or untill all the medal has been given out.
The game's Main hero has "an another me" (check the additional information section) so explain about your "other self" would be like, good or evil, how he will act and what you will do about it etc. In less than 30 words.

Additional information
By "the other me" its just like Yugioh, i do not want to spoil the game so ill try not to say more about it, so just explain what your "other me" will be like and how you will react.

Rules
• Be appropriate, nothing rude keep it clean can be funny
• The thread could be open anytime, its up to the admins
• No copying other member's story
• The story gotta be appox 30 words

Wii Balance Board Medal

A lot of people own a Wii Balance Board, and now there's a chance to get most of one placed into your profile by helping come up with ideas that it could be used for.
How to Get
Post an idea of what the Wii Balance Board or another peripheral could be used for.
Rules
• No using anything that already exists for your idea
• Uses don't need to be a game
• No copying other's ideas
• Anything that comes with the Wii cannot be used as the peripheral being put to use (unless it's a special bundle)
• Classic Controller and MotionPlus also cannot be used as the chosen peripheral
• Any other Wii peripherals including those that have only been patented may be used

How to get it: Show us how your Wii will be celebrating Christmas this year, by decorating it's surrounding area and taking a picture.

It doesn't say that I'm not allowed to steal ideas. I had actually forgotten you had posted that one when I went to find another idea for this thread, which Christmas came up in my mind about.
