Discuss deliveries.. for example i have so much coming in the mail one of my tracking says "scheduled for delivery today" then says "held at facility"????? I'm guessing i have another package coming so its being held till that other package arrives their so they dont need to make 2 trips??

It's just the estimated time, will be before then but will still take some time as Aussie post are SLOW. I've had things arrive from US/UK within days then take almost a week to be processed by Aus Post :(

turns out the hard drive i sent back was the correct one but it was in a different foil wrapper. the description said manufacturer refurbished but i admit i did not see this before. my problem now is that do i trust this drive and/or seller?

if the manufacturer refurbished it it should come in one of their packets with a certification shouldnt it?

do i take the risk and trust this drive in my new ps3?

what to do please?? :E

he has the hard drive now so i said that things seem a bit fishy with the wrong label and all that. pending a reply at the moment

Also, the box that my Sims 3 Hintbook Box Set came in had a sticker on it that said "Opened by Australia Post for inspection by Quarantine" but they didn't leave a note in the box to say that it had been cleared by Quarantine.

Not really about me recieving something, but me sending out a game. I did not want to make a new thread as it will probably be answered quickly anyways, but how do I go about sending out a game to someone?

Do I go to the post office and send it? Do I buy packaging and drop it off in the red post boxes? How do I go about getting registered post?

you go to the post office and send it. I believe you may be able to pre-buy the packaging but you'd have to drop it off at a post office for it to be registered. Thats as far as i know though.

you can buy bags and boxes for dvds or games just go in and look at whats on the shelf. then put the item inside the package. put address on the front and then hand it to the person behind the counter and ask for registered post.

Yeah it depends on how you want to send it. Over night/express bags cost the most. Normal bags with tracking, second, without tracking is even cheaper.
You can also buy a padded bag- with or without tracking- that's around the same price OR you can wrap it yourself in a brown paper, address it and then take it in to be weighed and stamped :D

Lots of options but one thing is always certain- Aus Post will try to get the most money out of you as they can as they are still one of the most expensive mailing systems in the world :D Oh we are so lucky.

heres some more details if you dont have a suitable envelope or packaging yourself.

go here to see what australia post offers in terms of parcels. there is a dvd box there:
auspost.com.au/...

then once you choose the item you can go to this other page and calculate the postage between different points. you just need the weight, dimensions and postcodes you are sending between. it will give you all the different options available.
