take a look at this poll it shows just how popular the wii is right now!!! and just how unpopular the ps3 is lol looks like the ps3 might be the death of sony....... so the party is scheduled for which day and are we having alcohol plus someone should pick up a ps3 for the party cos I dont have a doorstep and were gonna need one or we can use it as a cup you could fit a fair bit of liquid in that blu-ray drive!!!!!!!!

edit: after closely examining the poll I have realised the X-box 360 is almost as popular as the wii but not quite the wii reign supreme!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to say, that survey doesn't really say much. I mean, if all the consoles had've been released at the same time, i might be swayed by it. you can't put console popularity like that down on paper!! it just doesn't make sense, who's to say the 34% who don't have any next gen console answer that way, coz they're saving up to by the pS3????? just some thoughts

true sony does have great titles but dont 4get that nintendo aslo has great titles as well without theese the gaming industry would be nothing

Nintendo is simply lacking 3rd party support.

Cos lets face it, Sony and XBox have a plethora of OK games, but 99% of them can be found on other platforms.

And Nintendo just needs the same support.

Me - I would rather just play the Nintendo games once every 4 or 5 months than to buy heaps of OK games.

But not everybody is like me *phew*

Yeah but you have to understand that the PS3 is marketed at families in want of a media hub, it can play music, dvd's, blu-rays and games. Sounds pretty good as opposed to buying two different consoles and spending more in the long-run. And yes mereshall the new kingdom hearts is coming out probably 2008 there is already a trailer and a new FF is in production...

I'll be honest im gettin sick n tired of everyone baggin the ps3... the reason not EVERYONE has one is the price.

I've got a PS3 & Wii... and honestly couldnt be happier. The 360 falls in the middle of them both, you can also get a 360 & Wii for the price of a PS3 which also contributes to the 360&Wii combo scoring high.

I know alot of people who want a PS3, but just can't afford to drop a grand on the console then another $150 on controller & BD Remote. Thats before buyin games.

The PS3's ONLY and i mean ONLY problem is that its priced out of the average consumers range. If it was dropped $150-200 im sure you'd suddenly see alot of sales. The problem is when you see a Wii advertsied for $399... The average person only reads the 300 not the 99.. its still a $400 console. Same with the 360.. which is $649.. may as well be $700.

Well, as much as i hate the ps3 (and trust me, i do), I really doubt that the ps3 will die, purely because of series such as final fantasy. When such a game comes out, the sales of the console will spike. What's more, some sony rep. came out and said that they'll "reconsider" their marketing plan. Meaning a possible price cut.

Either way, I hope that the Wii brings ninty back to the top, where they belong (it was painful to watch the cube get about 1% of the market last time around. I did my bit, we own one)
