Based on the original Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) version, Sonic The Hedgehog was a remake for the Sega Master System. This was not just a port, the Master System version includes all new stages, bosses, zones and a level map. In this version the Chaos Emeralds have to be found within certain stages other than the Special Stages. Sonic must dash through six zones to face off against face Dr. Eggman at the end of every Zone.
