It's true that the original 2d mk games were games that will never be over shadowed but I'm not getting my hopes up for this one. The thing that will get my attention with this title is if they have utilised the wii-mote capabilities.

Why is it games are getting worse as technology is getting better. The orriginal kicked ass perhaps they didnt have the fancy crap they got now so they had to make sure games were good before they got released.

Nothings changed melstorm there has and always will be games that merge the latest graphic tech with cutting edge gameplay and games that merge the latest graphic tech with crap.
Most of the great games like Mk stand out because they were well made and offered something new, like ultra violent gameplay and fatalities. Its harder to surprise these days which is why i like nintendo the always manage at least one classic per generation. Shame they have no cutting edge graphics to merge their gameplay with this time around.

Yeah, that'll be the best thing ever. I've only played mk on ps2 before, and that was good. But if the game can use the motion sensors it will be so much better!

I haven't read anything about them utilizing the wiimote sensors.. Actually this game being released on the Wii is sorta a kick in the face for Wii owners.. As it was stated MK:A was the last MK to be released on previous/current generation consoles (Xbox1,PS2,Wii).. So I am alittle confused if they will still support the Wii with future MK titles?

Mortal Kombat is my favourite fighting game of all time. I loved it since the original mortal kombat, both arcade and super nintendo versions. I am close to having every single version of all the Mortal Kombat games on all of the consoles.

I'm still deciding whether to get this on the Wii or not. I already purchased the xbox version from America when it was released last year.

MK:A... u waisted 3 months of my life and i want them back...

like instead of pressing the A button to choose your character, press the plus button on your wiimote instead to choose your character. this will make your character change its outfit

Finally i have found a fighting game that my girl actually likes. ( maybe because the controls are easy, if a little slow to respond )
And sometimes she actually beats me!! ( when you do the wrong move )

I agree with previous post. It is way too inaccurate playing this game with the remote... it never picks up what you want it to do.. However, use the classic controller and this game is very fun!

SubZero from MK2 was the original SubZero's younger brother. The original SZ was 'aparently' killed in the tournament by Scorpion.

When you then factor in the UMK3 and MK3 time/story lines things get more complicated with Noob actually being the original but somehow co-existing with 'classic' SubZero who is meant to be the original/classic but has the move set i.e. ground freeze of MK2 SubZero and yet the fatality i.e. head/spine removal of MK1 SubZero... but you can't see it because the screen 'blacks out'.

Ummm... something like that anyway.
