Unless you're in a dungeon.
It says that in the manual.

Yep I'm fairly certain thats what's supposed to happen at least until you get the 3 spiritual stones and become an adult or you;re in a dungeon

Yep. If you quit while you're outside a dungeon, you'll reload in your treehouse. If you quit while you're in a dungeon, you'll reload in that dungeon's entrance.

I believe there's a spell you can get that lets you mark a spot in a dungeon and teleport back there later, so it might be worthwhile to get it.

yeah the spells called Farores Wind,
comes in really handy in the forest temple.

This is the best zelda, beats TP easy, TP is too easy and gets boring at some points and reppetitive . . neva had that problem with ocarina, and it took me longer to finish then TP, no offence to TP tho its good but ocarina is the best zelda of all time

You got the Master Quest if you pre-ordered a copy of Wind Waker. It's basically the same except the dungeons are harder.
