The Zombies mode in Treyarch's Black Ops 2 will offer all new competitive elements, according to the developer's Daniel Suarez.
Previous iterations of the mode have been incorporated into both the campaign and multiplayer components of Treyarch's Call of Duty games, but never with a competitive element.
Black Ops 2 will also see the return of Zombie Mode in its classic form, built from the ground up with a number of new competitive modes.
A new competitive zombie survival mode will see two teams of four players up against each other in a regular match to see who can survive the longest.
Zombie Wager matches have also been teased, which would see a return of the currency betting system we saw in the first Black Ops game.
