EB Games Expo 2012 to be double the size

This year's EB Games Expo, to be held in Sydney, is expected to be double the size of last year's maiden effort.

EB Games is planning for 30,000 attendees at the Sydney Showgrounds in Homebush this year, doubling the 15,000 that attended on the Gold Coast in 2011, reports MCV.

This year's event will take place from Friday October 5th until Sunday the 7th. Tickets go on-sale in just under two weeks, on May 24.

The EB Games Expo became the biggest gaming event Australia has ever seen during its first year and, like Call of Duty, it's looking to beat its own record 12 months later.

It better come to Melbourne next year. Or else…
Now, the first thing I noticed there is the beer symbol.

Usually they use a bottle of water for stuff like this. Am I to understand I can go to a gaming convention and get shit drunk?
If you're happy to pay $15 for a pint.
Why no love for Melbourne.. :'@

Hope it wont be same as last yr, Heard it was nothing but an advertisement orgy! [Shifty]
Drink > go to gaming expo > scare the children > drink.
$40 for a ticket.

Lolno EB. Not even if this was the first and last guaranteed gaming expo in the country.
Yeah it's in Sydney which they have the best and beautiful habor, great landmarks and gang crimes. :D
You really like making out living in Western Sydney is a lot more dangerous than it actually is don't you?

I mean, sure, it's fun to joke around about it with people not from here, but constantly acting like it's a war zone :S
Double the EB advertising fest.
I might actually go to this.

Probably won't be owrth the $40 but meh... :P

@LMAO I've probably seen more try hard dead beats at Warringah Mall than at Blacktown. ;)
The place where it's held is a bettet place than the previous because that place is good for hosting exhibitions, it's very big, well air conditioned, easy access public transport and good parking space.
why didnt I know about the gold coast one [Shifty]
Whilst it's heartbreaking to see the move from my home town - the Gold Coast - and I have a preference to move it back there, from a commercial point-of-view I think this is probably a smart move and will likely generate more ticket sales...

Putting it politely, I hate Sydney with a passion (you have no idea...), but there's more people and transport is highly accessible in comparison to other cities - if it were my games convention, I'd probably do the same thing (not that I'd like it!).
