GTA to the Wii??

In an interview with an American television station, Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, said that Nintendo has done all it can to persuade Take-Two Interactive Software to bring the Grand Theft Auto franchise to Nintendo consoles, and it is now up to the third party publisher to decide whether Rockstar Games' immensely popular series will appear on Wii. We should know more later in 2007 regarding this issue.

Is it just me or is everyone bored of GTA and GTA clones? I'm sick of them, the same story, work your way up the ladder, someone betray's you etc.... it's been done too much...

With turmoil at board level at Take Two if there is a leadership spill then the investors might look very favourably on a low investment revenue stream like a GTA port.

The thing I liked least about some of the GTA games was the controls for shooting, the Wii remote might provide a good alternative there.

Agree. What I'd like to see is a large-scale company-based FPS, like Call of Duty 2 but in a large open-ended persistent world.

That would be cool and great for wii owners, using the wii remote to imitate swinging, shooting and all that other stuff will be good. It would be funny to sony fans because nintendo would have a port of it. I dont think it would happen but nice thought, would us fans buy it though being on the oppositions side for so long?

What i am happy about is that one of the only things Sony and MS held onto will be nintendos aswell. HAHAHA.

OH HO HO! YES!!!! do you have msn? your my new best friend. EVERYONE I mean EVERYONE says vice city and liberty city stories on the psp are great and they average a score of like 9 on everything, it's retarded. I HATE THOSE games they are the worst GTA's ever I actually went and played through GTA III again just to remember what the real Liberty City felt like after wading through those piles of ****. I'm so happy that someone agrees.

nothing personal but i dont think u get it. the reason u play these games is for the sandbox style gaming, not the storyline. i agree with u that the gta series r all storyline-copied, but thats not the reason u play. the pyhsical content of these games (city layout) and graphics change everytime. this is y gta 1 2 and 3 r so enthralling for people who have each 1. not because of a new storyline.

You mean GTA: III, Vice-city and San Andreas? Yeah I'm sick of just running around killing people I mean the sandbox thing was innovative 5 years ago but it's getting old and tired now, I do "GET" it and I used to be a huge fan of the series, like everyone else was but now it's just getting boring. Rockstar should at least make it so that you can REALLY talk to people not just some random sequences where you press left and right.

for ur info rerun, there was a gta 1 and 2. i dont know much about 2, but 1 was an inovative top down sandbox that had not been seen before in that element. vice city and san andreas were both number 3. its not to say i like them, but im just showing the other side. like i said, nothing personal.

Everyone knows that, hell I own the original GTA! Vice City and SA are not part of GTA 3 as their is hardly any linking and no the originals weren't THAT innovative, more controversial for being able to run over pedestrians and things. OMG I can't BELIEVE you thought I didn't know anything about the GTA series.....have I been locked in a cage for the past 4 years?!.....Well,yes bt I had a PS 1 and 2 in there with me.....now that I escaped I can play nintendo again!
