Ghost Recon series producer, Theo Sanders, says Ghost Recon Online, which will be available on PC and Wii U, is a "downloadable, dynamic' shooter.
While the game's development is currently centered around the PC version, Mr Sanders said: "We're looking forward to seeing what we can do on other platforms like Wii-U once we're on solid ground with the PC launch."
Ghost Recon Online will launch with four maps -- an oil rig in the North Sea called Shearwater 51, and in three locations around a near-future incarnation of Moscow -- alongside three playable classes and team-based gameplay.
The game is touted as a possible Wii U launch title, with the console set for launch at the end of 2012.
