Activision last week announced the track list for Guitar Hero: Van Halen, and there has been confusion about the other bands complimenting Van Halen in the game.
Responding to questions regarding this issue, head of music licensing at Activision, Tim Riley, and gamers have found out that it was partly due to request of Wolfgang Van Halen himself.
Speaking with IGN, Riley said,
'At the end of the day, it became Wolfgang Van Halen, who is a serious Guitar Hero player -- probably the best Guitar Hero player that I've ever seen including people at Activision...They knew that, the Van Halen brothers and David Lee Roth, so they were like, 'Ask Wolfgang what bands he wants in.'
IGN also inquired about the band that Activision most want to put in its own Guitar Hero game, and Riley replied,
'Led Zeppelin. That's the easiest question I've been asked all night.
As of yet, nothing has been confirmed, but Riley stated,
'"We're working on it. It's something that I can't guarantee anything, but I will keep trying.'
