The Instruments
Guitar Hero - World Tour will be containing three instruments as followed.
The Guitar
Guitar Hero - World Tour is introducing a new Guitar this year that has new features such as a touch pad on the neck. Although the Guitar Hero III guitar will still work with the game you just won't get the full advantage you could get with this new one.
Now you may have heard about the touch pad but are not sure exactly what it does or if it will inconvenience you or make the game more enjoyable for you. The touch pad on the neck allows you to alter the notes during a song, similar to that of the whammy bar but a lot more greater, it also allows for some notes to be played and plays a huge part in the music creator.
The Microphone
The only instrument that isn't wireless is the microphone. The microphone has nothing special about it and acts like a real microphone should, which is a good thing.
The Drums
Probably one of the best new features for Guitar Hero is the additional drums. The Guitar Hero Drums contains Three Pads, two raised cymabls and a bass pedal. The setup is similar to what you would find in a basic setup of a real drum set. The drums are also quite quiet so the neighbors shouldn't be complaining about you drumming it out. The drum kit is also wireless and requires the WiiMote to be placed into the kit as seen below in the picture. The drums have also been given a sensitive control meaning how hard you hit them will be how loud the note will be in the game.
Music Creator
Guitar Hero - World Tour is set to contain 85 plus songs and downloadable content which will also add more songs for Wii players. This time however developers have decided it would be a good idea to add a new feature being music creator.
How does Music Creator Work though? Well you just create songs by just playing the song you make up using the instruments and the game will do the rest for you, however if you want something more specific with your songs then you can use the editor. Voice recording however won't be allowed with the microphone due to legal reasons.
Music Creator has also been designed so that any person will be able to use it meaning beginners will have the option to use some premade loops of songs and instruments while experts can do songs off by scratch.
ore complex, should you so choose.
Characters
Now if you just so happened to enjoy the characters from Guitar Hero II & III well you can again as the characters have been brought back for another round of Guitar Hero. However if you didn't like those characters you should be pleased to know that famous musicians are being put in to the game, like Guitar Hero III had, however none have yet been revealed.
World Tour will also contain a character creator which will be highly detailed, similar to that of the Tony Hawk games character creator.
