BLPGaming has interviewed High Voltage Software's David Pellas, with two main aspects of the interview being Conduit sales and online hacking.
When asked about how many people have purchased a copy of The Conduit up to this point in time, Pellas responded:
'I can't provide exact numbers at this time, but we are pleased with the latest reports, especially given the tough economy. We recently received a report that showed that The Conduit is the top online game on the Wii, which is very exciting. We hope to maintain this ranking and look for strong sales to continue through the quarter.'
While nearly 75 people worked on the game for nearly two years (also discovered in this interview), it is well known at this point in time that the online play of the game has it's flaws, especially hackers. When asked to address this issue, Pellas stated:
'We have been working very closely with Sega, GameSpy, Nintendo, and especially the gaming community in order to identify offenders and address them accordingly. We continue to be very active in dealing with these people.'
Finally, to brighten the day of the
very keen Conduit online gamers, news of possible updates to fix numerous glitches in the online section of the game:
'It certainly isn’t out of the question. We are working with our partners in order to address some of the issues that have cropped up but given the fact that Nintendo’s online solution is different from its competitors, we have not been able to reach a satisfactory solution yet.'
It's definitely a good thing to see High Voltage Software continue to care about its followers instead of packing up their campaign for the game after getting desirable results.
