Kirby 20th Anniversary is not coming to Australia

Remember yesterday when we posted about the very awesome Kirby: 20th Anniversary Special Collection from Nintendo? Your eyes lit up, you started throwing money at the screen and you imagined the day your shiny new collection would arrive brinigng you that loveable pink puff of joy.

Well sorry kid, the dream is over.

We received official word from Nintendo Australia that the awesome collection won't be appearing on Australian shores:

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your email, I hope you are well.

Nintendo Australia has no plans to release the Kirby 20th Anniversary Collection at this stage.

It was announced for release in America (or Europe, or both) awhile back, so it is.

Actually as far as i'm aware it's Japan only. No official US date has been announced and i know for sure europe isn't getting it (at least atm)
Japan official, everything else rumour so far.

To be fair, Japan only got its release date a couple of days ago.

I still take the fact they posted this up as a confirmation, as they usually leave out games announced at Nintendo Direct if they're not coming there. But that's just me and my speculation.
