Nintendo of America has revealed that they will released the upcoming Metroid Prime Trilogy is a collector's edition when it hits the U.S. on August 24.

If all three Metroid Prime games complete with new Wii controls and presented in widescreen wasn't enough Nintendo has you covered. The collector's edition will include a metal case, cover slip and artwork booklet. In fact, this will be the only version available when the game first launches in the States, so everyone will become a collector at no additional cost.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy will launch in Europe sometime in September. We expect the collector's edition to make its way there for the game's launch, and the Australian release to follow not too long after.

Absolutely, imo. I wasn't a fan of shooters, either, until I picked up MP1 alone.

Getting all 3 for such a cheap price, you won't regret it..

I'm considering importing a collectors edition from the US to play, but if we get Australian confirmation then I'll just sit and wait and play through mp1-2-3 all over again.

You'll have to play it yourself to answer that. Nintendo label it as a first person adventure, rather than shooter, as well shooting is a key element it's a lot more about puzzle and problem solving than a typical run and gun.
