The Last GAME store closes its doors on Sunday

The last remaining GAME Australia stores will close their doors this Sunday, July 8.

Administrators PriceWaterhouseCoopers confirmed today that GAME will cease to trade in Australia after the weekend, following the June 19 announcement that all stores would close Australia wide.

Most stores -- including the online shop -- have already cleared their stock with massive 60% of sales. Now it's just a matter of waiting until Sunday.

Ouch. God bless!

Got some fairly decent deals at Game over the years, shame it had to end this way. :'(
Damn, walked into the Miranda Westfields one just today at work, guess that will be the last time then!

got quarters?

Could have at least got a pun out of the headline. GAME OVER.
it's a trap? in the words of some illiterate wrestler "who's next?"
Walked past Westfield Strathpine the other day and there were more '60% off' posters than actual product. And they thought there was a need for three staff members to sell the 4 remaining games. Didn't bother.
Bought quite a few games a few weeks back from GAME. Such a shame they had to close all the stores.
GOOD GAME.
Was the reason for closing poor sales?
They always had some pretty good bargains :'(
