Nintendo has announced that The Last Story will be released on Wii in Australia on February 23.
The story follows Elza, a noble swordsman, and his group of mercenaries from the desolate Ruli Island, as they make their way to the lively Ruli City. However, it’s not a straight forward journey. The gang encounters ancient ruins that transform Elza with “Gathering” – supernatural powers. Upon entering the city, the mercenaries meet Kanan, the daughter of the deceased royal family and niece of Earl Arganan, the current ruler of the island. Before their relationship can blossom, the group find themselves in a relentless war with the Gurg, and it all escalates from there.
The Last Story features time-honoured RPG gameplay and story elements but also adds modern twists to the traditional RPG formula. Customise your items and character and master the innovative combat system to succeed in this epic new universe.
It follows Xenoblade Chronicles as a Japanese exclusive to be localised for Australia before the US.
