Want Tekken on the Wii? Speak up!

The game director of Tekken 6, Katsuhiro Harada, has said that if Wii owners want Tekken on the Wii, just ask, and they will bring it over! Here's the transcript:

GamePro: Do you have any desire to port Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection or Tekken 6 to the Wii at some point? Why or why not?

Katsuhiro Harada: That would be very interesting. Like the Xbox 360 owners, if Wii owners are passionate and make it known they really want the series on their system, we would love to be able to answer that request.

Hearing about the huge number of Xbox 360 owners who are Tekken fans, especially in North America, definitely played a huge part in influencing us to bring the game to that system.

As for the Wii, the standard controller lacks the right number of buttons and the placement is awkward, so... I suppose the classic controller could handle it!

So what are you waiting for? Make some noise around popular forums, post directly on Namco's forums forums.namcobandaigames.com/ or if you can snoop out the director's email address, send him one to let him know your Tekken love

You need better sources.

I WANT WII TEKKEN
Yoshimitsu
I never cared for Tekken at any point in its history, ever. Even when I wasn't yet burned out on the fighting genre, I just never cared for its generic characters.

Here's how you can make your very own Tekken character:
1) Create a muscular man.
2) Give the muscular guy a wild hairdo.
3) Assign the wild-haired muscle guy some punches and kicks.
4) Toss a coin, and...
A) if it comes up heads, randomly select an obscure name for him.
B) if it comes up tails, randomly select a word and give it to him
as a name. (Taking a term like "martial law" and making it into a
name is preferred.)

Or skip steps 1-4
His name is 'Marshall Law' thank-you very much

But isn't that the same with every other fighting game? How many little nerdy bespectacled fellows do you see in an arcade fighting game?
Hmmm. I've never played tekken. Luckily I know an arcade that has tekken 6. I don't really know.
remake tekken 3
and i'll buy it
you guys are making me sad no love for tekken
Me I loved tekken

we need a good fighting game on wii that ISNT brawl or something by nintendo
Tekken on Wii yes plz
Honestly, I'd rather have Street Fighter 4 (or at the very least SF2 HD remix) but I dont think either are likely.
In Tekken it was always too hard to remember the really good combos, you needed to be some kind of savant to string 10 perfectly timed button presses together.
I don't see why not I think they should have their own version.
i is want Gon

capcom vs tatsnuko or however the hell you spell it, is the answer now only if they localise it and turn it into marvel vs capcom 3
Yes please. I would like that very much
im over tekken..

brawl is by nintendo, why did you need to have the brawl seperate?
Street Fighter seems to be the fighting series that all the cool cat nerds (the ones in denial) are playing these days. I would rather see Street Fighter 4 or Tatsunoko Vs Capcom brought to the Wii in our region.

Besides I see this as an empty statement that is trying to persuade the Wii hardcore gamer into thinking that their company cares and are considerate. I highly doubt we will ever see a Tekken game on the Wii anyway.

Agreed, but could the Wii handle SF4?

Also, I really want Tatsunoko vs Capcom localised, or even MvC3!
Give us Street Fighter 4 instead

Probably not. But I'd settle for a gimped version
You know what I want on Wii?

INITIAL D V5!!!!!!!

if not tekken 6 will be just fine
More interested in Soul Calibur IV thanks.
Hmm..I wouldn't class myself as a fan of Tekken, but asking us to ask for the game to come to Wii is just plain dumb. They should bring it to the platform anyways, not leave the decision up too us.

=D
LMAO! Why not a SNES port??? Wii is a success thanks to casual gamers and the hordes of horrid mini-game compilations, and wii-fit.
Theres no room on Wii for proper serious games - thats 360/PS3 territory.

your wrong. and if you call me a liar ur lying to me and urself
Tekken Tag Tournament was the shizzle... With the next games in the series lacking Tag I found it hard to stay interested, but I'd still be keen to see Tekken 6...

I agree with the DOA comments, played DOA 5 on the 360 the other night and it was as brilliant as I remember DOA 2 on PS2 being... Wish like crazy it would get a Wii Port...

And Mortal Kombat vs. DC! I haven't played it on a system, but MK series was always my fave!
we want tekken!!!

Just because the Wii is flooded with mini-game compilations and casual games, doesn't mean it should have any hardcore serious games at all. I'm a massive hardcore gamer and have played games for 23 years and as a hardcore gamer, i have been very impressed with the Wiis lineup. I can't even afford to get the best titles either like Mario Galaxy, Brawl or Mario Kart, along with quite a few other titles, and i still have more than enough excellent hardcore games to occupy me. Outnumbering good hardcore games 50:1 doesn't mean they don't exist or shouldn't be made. I've probably got close to 50 games split fairly evenly between Wii games, downloaded games and Gamecube games.

just take the "Noob" outta your user-name, then your post would be the best freak'N post i've seen all minute.

Every DuDe is free to their own opinion, here's mine...

Super Smash Bro's, StreetFighter, Tekken and Naruto (360 version) are like my four best fighting games ever. They all bring something unique and different to the table.

How-F'ing-ever, though "Tekken" maybe ranked #4, in my list, by... yours truly, i still think Tekken is the most "technical-est" fighting game i've played.

reason being; so much moves and combos to customize in battle and make your own combos through unpredictable combo use.
"Noobs" find the game physically-demanding as they simply do not posess the skill to time and remember long combos under pressure... let alone mix combos. Noobs are only "JUST" used to your SSB & StreetFighter because ALL you do is haduken, haduken, spinning-bird-kick, shryuuken, back to haduken.. i love it but Tekken brings its unique thing to table.

SO HIZ-YEAH... ME WANT TEK-TEK IN WII DISK SLOT
BAYYYYYYYBEHHHHhhhh!!!!!
continued...

Tekken requirements:
Wii-Speak, "work around" FC's (doesn't neccassarily mean it must not be in it), preferably tag mode online, and online gameplay (obviously).

I LOVE SSB and StreetFighter but i love me some Tekken. (note Tekken is ranked #4 in my fighting genre list, so don't make your chins reach your keyboards)

Edit- i will not lie and overlook this, but through experience and word of mouth, the Tekken series did start to mess-up...
kinda like how, "FOR ME", SSBB messed-up from SSBM.

So IF Tekkan comes, bring a damn good one lol

Owning both Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution games on Wii and both 360 Naruto Games, i find that the Wii versions are far superior fighting games in my opinion.

Oh and no love for Soul Calibur or Killer Instinct (my 2 fav fighting series)?

nah you know i give love to killer instinct LOL, i had some fun times with that game YEARS back Lol.
Is that the game where a character has a move/combo, and when he unleashes it, he yell... "KoMBo-BReaKERRRRR!!?" LOL for obvious reasons, he breaks combos lol. If that's the game, i did love it

Naruto Clash of Ninja Wii - creative and fun, and it does rock... but what i don't like about it AND Soul Calibur is that, for instance, my friends have the two of them and i don't, he's awesome on them and i'm not so good, but when i play him i win 50% and he wins 50%.
Basically i button mash and own him lol. My little sis owned my cousin on naruto wii through button mashing.
Tekken, button mashing is a futile effort.

Naruto rise of a ninja (preferably rather than Broken Bond), again, is straight skill.
Button mashing in Tekken is easily achieved if you're using Christie/Eddie

As much as I love Soul Calibur, I hate having a guard button.
