Without a doubt many of us believe the Resident Evil 4 is one of the best third party titles on the Wii and the best incarnation of the popular zombie slashing game. Many loyal Nintendo fans had already played it in the previous GameCube generation however that didn't stop anyone spending their hard earned cash on one of the best games ever made, evident as it quickly became the first non-Nintendo developed Wii game to reach 1 million sales. Wii gamers can't help but feel disappointed that the sequel will not be making it's way onto Nintendo's motion sensitive console. According the game's producer, Masachika Kawata, this was never a possibility. Due to the immense improvement in graphics "the title screen of this couldn't have been done on PS2 or Wii" Kawata stated.
It's blinding obvious that the Wii is unable to handle the graphics and game engines of Resident Evil 5, watch any of the gameplay trailers to have any hopes and dreams that this may be a lie crushed. In saying that claiming that the Wii could not handle the title screen is another story, there's no amazing physics or hundreds of zombies being rendered in real time here. Never the less don't feel too disheartened Wii gamers Juntake Uchi, another of RE5's producer's, has stated that Capcom have every intention of continuing the Resident Evil series on the Wii "a couple of years down the road."
