In an age when publishers and console manufactueres alike seem intent on blocking used-game sale, Nintendo's Executive VP of Sales and Marketing, Scott Moffitt, told Gamespot that the big N isn't overly concerned with the current situation.
I don't know if we have a formal position on used-game sales. It is a reality in the marketplace. We're not trying to circumvent that." - Scott Moffitt, Nintendo
Moffitt also drilled home that Nintendo is taking online seriously with the release of the Miiverse, focusing on social features, gameplay and "the connectedness gamers feel with one another". Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
Online multiplayer is one part of it, and certainly Wii U will enable the same online multiplayer features that have become popular in some of the competing consoles, but that's really one piece of the online gaming network, our vision is broader."
Finally he stated that the Wii U will output between 480i and 1080p, with Moffit stating he thinks that Nintendo's first-party titles will run at 1080p from the get-go.
