Ubisoft is confident Wii U can strike a chord with families as well as "hardcore" gamers, the company's EMEA MD, Alain Corree, said.
Nintendo has been intent on attracting what it calls "core" gamers back to its home consoles, and Mr Corree is confident that's possible, saying the platforming manufacturer can “start to please the hardcore gamers too.”
“We are playing both fields because we think it will appeal to the family the way the Wii did, and start to please the hardcore gamers too," said Mr Corree.
Ubisoft has been "a strong believer in Wii U since day one", according to Mr Corree, and that its games "appeal to Nintendo gamers".
