Crysis 3 not currently planned for Wii U

Crytek isn't working on a Wii U version of Crysis 3, debunking rumours and speculation that the developer was working to bring the game to the console.

The company recently described CryEngine 3 running on the console as "beautiful", which sent Nintendo fanboys into overdrive at the prospect of arguably of the most anticipated shooters of the year coming to the console.

However, the developer was quick to respond to queries about the game.

"Just to answer the speculation, we are not currently working on a Wii U version of Crysis 3," said Crytek general manager, Nick Button-Brown.

The game is scheduled for release in February 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
