Paul Dini not penning future Rocksteady Batman titles

Writer Paul Dini, who is famous for writing and producing the classic Batman Animated Series, will not be returning to collaborate with Rocksteady on their Batman Arkham franchise.

Dini is credited with penning the story of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

According to a recent tweet late last month, Dini "Kinda hoped I'd be doing another Arkham game in London during the Olympics. Esp, as I had a good source for tx. Ah, well."

In response to questions on Twitter, Dini said that he would love to return to write for the franchise despite Arkham City being slated as his last gig within the Arkham universe. "I would if I could. It's not my call."

The next Rocksteady-developed Batman game has been reported as taking place during the hero's Silver Age.

OH thats a shame :*O
Terrible choice to not have Paul Dini return. The story better be as good as the first two in the next installment.
Yeah, it's a questionable decision by Rocksteady. Paul Dini has done a great job transferring the Batman mythos, continuity and characters into a video game. Arkham Asylum was like every Batman fan's dream in the way it handled the characters and storyline, and all the awesome nods and references (like to Ra's al Ghul and Firefly).
