Local industry tracker, the NPD Group, has revealed the top 10 selling video games in Australia during the first half of 2012, via MCV.

Surprisingly, only three of the ten games were released this year: Max Payne 3, Diablo III and Mass Effect 3. The rest are from 2011.

1. Diablo III

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

3. Mass Effect 3

4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

5. Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

6. Battlefield 3

7. Max Payne 3

8. Assassin's Creed: Revelations

9. Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

10. Saint's Row: The Third

Besides those three, it's been a pretty dull year so far.
I'm actually surprised to see Max Payne 3 crack the top 10, I felt like only a handful of gamers got behind that title.
Im looking forward to Sleeping Dogs as my next game.
6 out of 10.

Not bad [MOG]
Blob
+
And they're all bad [MOG]
I haven't played four of them: Diablo, Skylanders, M&S and Assassin's Creed [Shifty]
Seriously who here bought Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games? [Shifty]
lol 2 out of 10. [MOG]
Diablo, MW3 and Skyrim aren't surprising. It's good for THQ that Saints Row The Third did so well though. And wow, look at Skylanders, that game came out of nowhere.
1-8 + 10= [Shifty]
9 = The top 10 selling games of 2012 in Australia

Max Payne is the best out of that lot
I have 5 of those, but only paid 3. Got Max Payne and Saints Row gifted to me *thumbs up*

The only 2012 release I've bought is the Sega Olympics game lol :P I'm a sucker for those, don't care how bad they are.
Only have 1 from hee :P
just shows you what a crap year it has been for games in 2012, we can only hope it gets better from here. They way it has gone though not looking to promising.

Get out.
Skyrim, Saints Row, and Assassin's Creed (Didn't even play much of Assassin' s Creed)

Nintendo don't have very much up there, but I'm guessing by the end of the second half of the year, we should see more up there.
