Wii U VC games incompatible with older Wii saves

Wii U versions of a Virtual Console game – currently, Balloon Fight is the only one available – are completely new versions of that game, and that means old Wii saves you may have are incompatible with the new version.

Nintendo has told Kotaku that when you transfer their games from Wii to Wii U and then update to the new Wii U version of the game, you won't be able to use your save file on the Wii U version.

While Balloon Fight isn't a game that makes such a thing a big deal, it's important to be aware of this when picking up a longer, more involved game.

Screw you Nintendo.
I don't think I've gone far enough in any of my VC games for this o be a problem for me.

I don't understand...

You can transfer them from your old Wii, along with the saves.

It's a different online/shopping system. I guess it would have been good to integrate it but we just have to accept they're different.
It'd be cool if the upgrades were free.

But since we're paying for the privilege, I expect to get value for that.
I'm looking forward to SNES and Mega Drive games
I never expected this to be the case. Thankfully I never went balls into my VC games on Wii.

3DS on the other hand....
Seriously we get that you don't like the fee. But your getting a brand new game, with brand new features. If you want the exact same features and game that you've paid for, with your saves, you already have it for completely free.
NINTENDO WORSE THAN HITLER
