: Donkey Kong Country was released as a sequel to Donkey Kong Country and followed by Donkey Kong Country 3 Dixie Kongs Double Trouble, but im here to review what i believe to be the best Donkey Kong Country out of the 3, Donkey Kong Country 2. It was released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo, 2004 for Gameboy Advance, and 2007 for Virtual Console. It sold over 4.37 million copies around the world, making it the 6th best selling SNES game.
Being the fun game that it is, you know its gonna be a fun and challenging game. Many foes such as the Kremling Krew, Rats, Bee's, Moths, Kaptain K. Rool are what make the game fun, make it a challenge, some that you have to use to complete the level. And the good guys Diddy Kong and his girlfriend Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong and Donkey Kong. This is a sure 10/10.
I dont know why, but i never get sick of the storyline and levels. Donkey Kong and Dixie have to rescue Donkey Kong from Kaptain K. Rool, going from a shipwreck(Gangplank Galleon) to Crocodile Isle where everything else is played. The game has everything from Volcanoe's and Bee's Nest to a Theme Park and a Thorney Gardeny area. 10/10
I think for some reason the graphics are slightly better than Donkey Kong Country 1. Its great how they get into detail with shadowing, just look under Diddy cap, under bridges ect, and like and Donkey Kong Country, its a side-scroller game. Great for SNES 9/10.
The game has great sound effects from bee's buzzing, enemys dying, and yes even the occasional Diddy or Dixie getting hurt.
It also has a soundtrack. Nice 10/10.
This is probably the best Donkey Kong Country(as i said in the Introduction). Great foes, challenging levels and nice storyline, well done Rare for making an excellant SNES Classic. It will never be forgotten.
