Nintendo confirmed that Super Smash Bros. is entering development for both the Wii U and 3DS at E3 this year, but revealed nothing more. A leaked document has now supposedly revealed that the Wii U instalment is named "Smash Bros. Universe".
The rumoured leaked design brief shows both an English and Japanese logo, with the "U" in Universe using the same style as the Wii U.
Japanese translations, via Zelda Informer, suggest that it will feature increased third party support, prompting speculation that there will be more characters from outside the Nintendo realm like Sonic and Snake in Brawl.
It also alludes to the removal of tripping and a faster Samus, based on her model in Metroid: Other M.
Regardless of if the Wii U game is called Super Smash Bros. Universe, it looks like we will be waiting several years. Series creator Masahiro Sakurai states that Nintendo made the announcement far too early, as he has not had time to even begin development yet.
